A couple of weeks back, I watched Bluey with my husband. Twice. OK three times. Alright FINE, we watched Magic Xylophone four times, perched on our sofa with the volume on low, afraid that the kids would arrive and expect to watch Bluey while we were trying to watch Bluey without them. (You’re a grown up, you get it.)

For the unacquainted, Bluey is a show about dogs (the Heelers) who act like humans. Magic Xylophone is the first episode of Bluey, and features a game in which Bingo and Bluey (dog sisters) freeze Bandit (dog dad) with a ‘magic xylophone,’ while Chilli (dog mum) wanders around putting stuff in her handbag. Around the whole thing is a theme on sharing but, I’ll be honest with you, that’s not what lodged in my brain. What lodged in my brain, was this:
