I hope you have a lovely summer. I'm about to enter chaos mode as well, although with only one at home whilst the other is at nursery. All the things you shared in this post are lovely.
Aren’t they? I love reading thoughts on motherhood from others, I find it really comforting to see that almost none of these crazy experiences are unique
Have a wonderful summer! The overwhelm of this season is getting to me with all the fun plans and whatnot. Taking a break from writing to give myself that much needed breathing room and space to enjoy it ❤️
Really feel you with the 'everywhere is too busy' thing. My eldest had loads of sensory issues around noise/busyness it makes it SUCH a challenge knowing how to fill the days.
It really does. My second son has a habit of just disappearing into a crowd – he’s v independent and doesn’t see danger anywhere. It gets v stressful when there are too many people. He’s aging me prematurely, that one 🤣
Ah I loved So Thrilled for You. Many many relatable lines. Have a great Summer 🌞 (Still can’t believe “See you in September” doesn’t feel that far away) x
As you swelter through Summer, think of us down here in the nether regions of the world, clinging to shards of sunlight and snuggling up in every blanket we own, in order to keep warm.
Love this honesty and beauty. Truly! I am realizing this summer (as I’ve also come to terms with 2 of my posts lately being about it) that no one really talks about the summer tax on parenting. It’s so different and requires a lot.

Thank you, I hope yours is good too!

Hello from California (USA)!
Enjoy your summertime with the babes!
I just found your stack today, felt your co-sleeping share, and thanks so much!
I’m doing just that right now with my 16mo baby girl.
It’s been super tough and sometimes angering at my lack of sleep since being pregnant!
But at the same time- love it and wouldn’t trade it!
She’s my 4th daughter- my “Surprise” baby, as I had her at 44 when I was thinking how close I was to being “free”.
My other daughters are 15, 17 and 19 yo with the oldest away at university.
So I literally started over! 😭😍
Hi! Oh wow, that must have been a HUGE surprise. How are you finding stepping back into the baby years? Are the older children smitten?
You will sleep again some day soon. Hopefully we all will 😅
Yes, my older girls are totally smitten!
It’s so wonderful and sweet watching them all together.
I’m loving this time with baby… soaking it all in as I know it goes by so fast!
I feel more present this go around in new mommy hood than when I was younger with my other girls.
I’m also home this time as opposed to having to go right back to work with my other girls.
So it’s a blessing!
Thanks so much and take care, Charlotte! ✨

I think it really does help. I love writing but I feel so much lighter having something off my list!
Have a lovely summer, Charlotte! Thank you so much for sharing the gems in this post, I ordered the book 💕
Thank you, you too! Let me know what you think of the book, I thought it was so well done
I’m reading it and it’s so addictive 🥹
Let me know how you feel about the big reveal when it comes up. I gasped!
I think I am very close to that part. Ugh, we have to attend a barbeque, so I need to wait until evening again to read :)))
Well worth the wait. Enjoy the bbq!

I will miss you! Enjoy your break, I can’t wait for what I’m sure will be incredible future posts about the chaos of it all 🤣🫶🏻
Thank you! I’ll probably still be writing (just not editing and/or publishing), so I’m sure there will be some mad tales to share when I’m back 🤣 oo
Have a wonderful Summer 😎
Thank you, I’m sure we will!
Amen to the break. I hope you relish every sticky minute, gloriously un-conflicted. We will always be here.
Thank you, Isabel ❤️
Enjoy your Summer break! 🤗
Thank you, see you soon!

It’s such a great book isn’t it!
See you in September! (Which, you’re right, feels like tomorrow…)
As you swelter through Summer, think of us down here in the nether regions of the world, clinging to shards of sunlight and snuggling up in every blanket we own, in order to keep warm.
I will think of you and I will envy you, I’m not made for heat 😂
I was worried I’d give you heat stroke thinking about blankets!
Enjoy the summer, Charlotte! We'll see you (here) on the other side (September)!
Thank you, you too!
