How wonderful that when faced with trauma and isolation, books brought you joy and helped you make friends. I'm positive that you are actually the catalyst for the making friends part, for the members of the book club wouldn't have hung around had you not been a friendly, funny, and delightful host. I joined a book club once. You were not there, nor anyone whose qualities even remotely resembled yours. I did not last there long.
