I really needed this week as my almost 3 year old is bouncing off the walls (literally). He was also an “easy” baby and it feels endless right now! Thanks for the mindset shift❤️
❤️ honestly Poppet never stopped around that age. Pickle was even bouncier and even he's starting to calm down. There's light at the end of the tunnel! Just try to stay alive til then 😅
What a lovely thing for you to do together, though it looks like the cook accidentally put an egg on the top of your stack. Bacon with pancakes, sure, but egg? No wonder Poppet had to finish it for you! 😉
Haha, I paid extra for that egg and when it arrived I'll admit I did think... Why did I do that? I'm not one for sweet foods first thing in the morning so maybe I was trying to counteract the pancake syrup? I felt quite sick after eating all of those but they're his favourite thing, so I made the sacrifice 😂
Beautiful. You know Charlotte, 500 years from now there will be kids wanting pancakes for breakfast. There is something magical about them. Btw, that plate of yours looks damn good to me and it's the middle of the afternoon here. I could easily have (and have had) that meal for supper. - Jim
There is something magical about pancakes, he gets so excited about them! I hope you've treated yourself to pancakes this week (and if not, maybe a weekend meal?) 🥞
This is lovely 🩷 I have a 16 month old and by the looks of it we are in for a wild ride the next couple of years 😅 it'll be fun chaos I'm sure, but the idea of being able to sit and eat in a cafe again sounds magical
My wife and I say a version of this to each other all the time. It’s gotten so much easier. The kids can play outside in the yard and we don’t have to worry that they’ll randomly wander down to the street or decide to swallow a handful of rocks. A year ago, that wasn’t the case with our younger one.

You are a trooper! I understand now why his plate was nearly empty in the photo, while yours was untouched. 😉
